Green Ambassadors are ALUMIL’s volunteer team of employees dedicated to promoting our company’s sustainable development strategy by implementing initiatives for the protection of the environment. Inspired by our motto, “Earth is our Home”, they undertake small actions of great importance that bring us closer to our fellow citizens and reinforce, at a local level, the key message we communicate to all our stakeholders.  

Recently, together with our company’s employees from Thessaloniki and Kilkis and in collaboration with the environmental association Greek Eco Project, they carried out their first green action for 2023, cleaning one of the parks in Eastern Thessaloniki. Altogether, they cleaned the park of butts, metal, glass, and plastic waste, planted aromatic and ornamental plants, decorated the flowerbeds, painted the park’s benches, and created a dog waste station as well as handmade signs with messages for the protection of the park.    

At ALUMIL, we believe that great things are done by a series of small things brought together. In line with this principle, Green Ambassadors’ small actions, such as the clean-up of a local park, contribute to the environmental awareness and education of our fellow citizens as well as our vision for a greener and healthier planet.
