Situation

The building dominates over the southern suburbs of Attica in Voula, on a privileged plot of 800 square meters, just 80 meters from the coastline.

Results

Its minimal character is developed in seven levels, without any horizontal or vertical axis of symmetry, allowing the obvious Asian influence in its architectural design to be highlighted. Its design aims to express a sculptural quality, while at the same time tackles to give the impression of a light self-supporting construction. The abstract transformation and deconstruction of the building's morphology contributed to the creation of a design plan which also satisfied the objective of low energy footprint. More specifically, the building consists of four separate houses, each one with different total surface areas, a ground floor room, two private swimming pools, a garden, and underground parking. The façade is dominated by minimal corner aluminum systems typologies with no visual obstacle of corner mullions, offering a panoramic view and enhancing the asymmetrical character in the overall image of the building. Finally, the four houses are developed at each level in a similar way, so that the living rooms have an unobstructed view to the sea, except the ground floor where the living room and dining room overlook the garden and the swimming pool.
