Amara Hotel & Residences

Challenge

The hotel is located on the coastal front of Limassol city in Cyprus island, close to the archaeological site of Amathus. The view of the Mediterranean, the respect of the area’s rich tradition and the need to create a modern hotel complex, are the main elements of the challenge called Amara Hotel & Residences.

Solution

During the design of the hotel, the architects of SB Architects wanted to incorporate the Mediterranean style into the project’s character. As they have mentioned referring to the project “influenced by the appreciation of the island’s natural environment, the design creates a timeless connection between the island and the sea”.
All of the above are evident on the 208 guest rooms and suites of Amara, as they feature a 180-degree view of the Mediterranean sea on the waterfront of Limassol. The interior of the rooms has a premium sense that underlines the luxury through simplicity and without any further “fuss”.
Every Amara space is highlighted by the natural Mediterranean light that is spread throughout the building. The wide spans supported by robust thermally insulated aluminium systems and curtain walls play a key role in this, enhancing the natural light and completing the “puzzle” of the impressive design. The guest has the opportunity to enjoy the unparalleled view from his/her room or to enrich the experience of his/her stay, by walking and wandering through the areas of restaurant, bar, spa or gym, all designed with attention to detail.

Amara Hotel & Residences is a 5-star hotel that impresses the visitor with its size and design. Hence, its name is derived from the Greek word “amarantos” that means eternal! As it seems, the vision of Amara Hotel creators is to fascinate every guest by offering…everlasting memories!
