The Centre of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology (CPSBB) in Plovdiv stands as a beacon of modern research excellence. Dedicated to fundamental and applied sciences in plant biology and biotechnology, CPSBB strives to achieve global standards and lead Europe in this field.
Its campus includes cutting-edge facilities such as research buildings, administrative offices, specialised laboratories, and greenhouses for experimental plant growth. Implementing advanced construction methods and energy-efficient solutions, including thermally insulated curtain wall systems, CPSBB minimises its environmental impact while maximising energy efficiency.
Supported by EU funding from the Horizon 2020 program, CPSBB aims to enhance Bulgaria's scientific research capabilities, train the next generation of researchers, and drive economic development in Plovdiv and beyond.
