Rocca a Mare
Rocca a Mare
A hotel that radiates style and luxury. Both the design of Rocca a Mare, signed by the architectural firm WOBI Stylianidis Hatziyiannakis Architects, and its exceptional location make it an important addition to the built environment in the city of Heraklion, Greece.
The building is developed in a U-shape – the northern façade is oriented towards the sea, offering all rooms a unique view; the central section hosts the main entrance and shared spaces, while the smaller wing includes additional rooms that overlook the side street.
As stated by WOBI Stylianidis Hatziyiannakis Architects, “the architectural proposal uses contemporary design elements and finishes, combining references to the local culture, the city’s historical identity, and its architectural heritage.”
The advanced lift & slide aluminium system, combined with the unitized curtain wall system and the modern vertical glass support system, effectively contributed to the architectural vision, offering high performance and modern aesthetics.
